The Shrine of Lullabies: Pop Up & Digital Altar Making Workshop

"The Shrine of Lullabies" is a collection of animated digital altars based on the work of 3 musicians exploring themes of mental health and trauma related to constructs of gender. Inspired by artists performing at Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in Chicago, the project seeks to affirm the power of visual arts and music working together to create uniquely spiritual experiences, even from unexpected genres such as animation, comics, pop, and rap. Created by Bria Royal.

6:00 PM - Installation viewing & reception: This installation is interactive! You can contribute by bringing one of the following items: an expired ID, dead/dried up flowers, or any old cell phones or electronic devices.

7:00 PM - Digital Altar Building Workshop: Learn the basics of digital altar building with Photoshop & similar programs. Bring your laptops and any physical items or cut outs you'd want to include!

8:00 PM - Chill, chatter, drinks, more art making, & love ♥.
