DOJO 94: A 12 Hour Filmmaking Adventure

DOJO 94 SATURDAY MAY 6TH 2017

Join us for a day of sporadic filmmaking! Join us as a filmmaker or artist to partake in a day where we meet in the morning, divide into teams, and make films! At the end of the day we will screen them all at a Dojo premiere & wrap party!

If you are sans team, submit your name to the Dojo Skwa to be shuffled and organized into a diverse and well-suited group. Trust the system!

THE 12 HOUR FILMMAKING ADVENTURE:

Meet at The Dojo in Pilsen from 7-8am to split into teams. And prepare for the day. Coffee and breakfast snacks provided!
Teams will have from until 8pm to complete films no longer than 5 minutes.

THE DOJO 94 RULES OF FILMMAKING

Filmmakers must not use any of their own film equipment. They must use the equipment that has been randomly selected for them.

Filmmakers must not use any of their own props, costumes, or set, and MUST ONLY these elements if found ON LOCATION. 
FIlmmakers must not use any pre-written material for their films, and must use the inspiration material provided at random for them.

Filmmakers can negotiate the trading of equipment or inspiration at the beginning of the day.

Filmmakers do not have to use the full 12 hours to make their films & films must be under 5 minutes.

SCREENING & WRAP PARTY:

Meet at The Dojo in Pilsen at 8pm with completed films.
8:30pm Doors for the public
9pm-12am Screening Party begins with drinks available, music, and celebration at The Dojo!
